We all experience pressure at work, and a certain amount can help us stay focused. But when that pressure becomes too much, it can affect how we think, feel and behave, impacting our performance, well-being, and relationships with others.
Our practical half-day workshop, Introduction to Managing Stress, will help participants recognise the signs of stress in themselves and others, understand its triggers, and develop practical techniques to manage pressure more effectively.
- Date: Thursday 14 January 2027
- Time: 2pm to 5pm
- Where: online, via Zoom
- Facilitator: Dominic Morris
- Places: limited to 10 participants
- Cost: £79 + VAT per person
We'll explore how our bodies respond to stress, why different situations affect people in different ways, and how our reactions can sometimes make stressful situations worse. Participants will learn practical techniques to manage their own stress, respond more calmly under pressure and help prevent stressful situations from escalating.
Using the SPB framework, participants will learn to:
- Understand What Stress Is & Your Response
- Recognise Your Distress Signals
- Recognise Positive Stress
- How to De-escalate Stressful Situations
- Build Stress Resilience
- How to be More Mindful
- How to Build a Personal Development Plan
We keep the group to 10 so that everyone has time to contribute, ask questions and practise.
